Not that you would have guessed it lby listening to him.
Clearly just see's his time at the club as a stepping stone to his beloved Man utd ,
Not in the least bit happy for us yesterday , Joe Cole in the only one out of that era that left us , that has done so with any dignity to my mind ..

Though I'm sure Harry did get some sort of sweetener as part of the Rio deal, he didn't get the £300k Brown offered him, because that was promised as a bonus if Harry didn't spend all of the money coming in. He did spend it so didn't get the bonus.

From a media perspective wanting to work on Champions League and England games I am sure he realises that ‘ex Man Utd’ Rio Ferdinand gets him more work.
BT seem to want to have 3 former Man U players available to discuss any game.

At the time there was talk that the idea of transfer fees was potentially on the way out.
So Brown snatched the £18m on offer
Leeds sold him for £30m a year later
Harry / Rosie got £300k of the proceeds.

A bit harsh on Rio?
I thought it was common knowledge that Terry Brown practically ushered him out of the door when Leeds put up the £18Million.
Rio was on record as more than happy to stay another year or two with us - he would have ended up at Man U anyway but without the pleasures of Elland Road in-between.

I'm just watching the post match comments from Scholes and Ferdinand and Jake Cuntface (whatever the presenter is called)... Rio did repeatedly compliment West Ham. He'd finish his sentence then that prick presenter would change the subject to Man Utd. I think you lot are being too hard on Rio. It wasn't him changing the subject back to Man Utd all the time.

Man U brainwashing programme at work.
Rio now thinks that he was born in Salford, was adopted by Bobby Charlton, and that Man U should be given every Premiership title retrospectively, as, no matter where they actually finish, Man U deserve to be top, at all times.

The top 6 was the top 4 a couple of years ago. So, especially when taken in conjunction with Leicester actually winning the PL, it could be argued that things are going in the right direction.

When they do that Royal Navy advert.....would this be in Rio's case....he did his apprenticeship at West Ham but was made at Manchester United?
It's our fault for not living up to Rio or in fact Franks/Joe's/Glenn's/Michael's undoubted talent and building teams/squads around them therefore there was leverage to get them away from us, be it relegation or lack of investment.
I'm dismayed as anyone to hear Rio talk like West Ham were a snippet of his career, but we were and it's down to the club to change this as best they can because it will continue to happen until we offer good career achievements that match these types of players talents.
